If your AC is blowing warm air, not keeping up, or won’t turn on, this FAQ covers the most common causes and what to check before scheduling service. We focus on clear answers, repair-first options, and no surprises.

Do you offer same-day AC repair?
When scheduling allows, yes. Call/text (760) 227-2828 and we’ll confirm the soonest available time. If you have no cooling, we’ll prioritize an accurate diagnosis and a clear repair option.
My AC is running but it’s blowing warm air. What does that usually mean?
The most common causes are thermostat settings, low airflow from a dirty filter, or an outdoor unit problem (often electrical or a worn component). Sometimes it can be refrigerant-related, especially if performance has slowly declined. We’ll check airflow, temperatures, electrical components, and overall system operation to pinpoint the cause.
The outdoor unit isn’t running, but the indoor fan is. What should I do?
First, check the thermostat is set to COOL and lower the temperature a few degrees. If the outdoor unit still won’t start, leave the system off and schedule service. Common causes include a capacitor, contactor, electrical issue, or motor problem.
Why is my indoor coil frozen?
A frozen coil is usually caused by low airflow (dirty filter, blocked vents, blower issues) or a refrigerant/performance problem. Turn the system off to let it thaw and avoid running it frozen, which can damage the system. We’ll inspect airflow, blower performance, coil condition, and refrigerant operation. If you’re dealing with heating issues too, read our Furnace Repair FAQ and Heat Pump Repair FAQ.
Why is water leaking from my indoor unit?
The most common reason is a clogged condensate drain line. It can also happen when a frozen coil melts or when a drain pan or fitting is compromised. We’ll clear the drain, confirm proper pitch and flow, and make sure the system isn’t freezing due to airflow issues.
My AC turns on and off quickly. Is that bad?
Yes, short cycling increases wear and usually means something is off, such as airflow restrictions, thermostat issues, or system performance problems. We’ll diagnose the root cause and recommend the correct fix.
How do I know if I have a refrigerant leak?
Signs can include weak cooling, longer run times, coil icing, or gradual performance loss. Refrigerant is not “used up,” so low charge typically points to a leak. We’ll confirm the issue with proper testing and then explain repair options clearly.
What should I check before calling for AC repair?
Confirm the thermostat is on COOL, the set temperature is below room temperature, and the air filter is clean. Make sure vents are open and unobstructed. If the system still can’t cool, schedule service so we can test airflow, electrical components, and cooling performance.
Do you recommend repair first or replacement first?
Repair-first. We diagnose, explain what failed, and give clear options. If replacement truly makes more sense because of repeated breakdowns, overall condition, or long-term cost, we’ll show you why and let you decide.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes we are. Lic# 1066880. We are also, bonded and insured.
